The Securities Sales/Service Specialist is primarily responsible for sales support to the Institutional Sales Staff He or she performs daily servicing activities with the goal of removing as many non:revenue producing task/actions as possible from the representatives day:to:day activity.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Servicing : Assists sales reps customers with inquiries and problem resolution by performing research on various systems (including but not limited to Bloomberg, NetX360/Pershing, TOSS, Sales Force, multiple money market mutual fund platforms as well as other related online systems) regarding trade entry, order flow, processing and settlement, safekeeping, billing, investment and deposit accounts. Works with the firms trading, underwriting, middle office and back office functions to facilitate customer transactions. Performs the following tasks: Monitors and follows up on new business documentation, respond to client inquires and requests, initiates all money movement, establishes NetX360/Pershing and InTrader account set:up and support; inputs data into CRM, generates client new account documents, scan and file documents in accordance with the firms procedures.
Technology Expert : Power user of firms technology platform including but not limited to Bloomberg, InTrader, NetX360, TOSS, Sales Force, etc. to efficiently facilitate trade processing, comparisons, and execution of trades.
Customer Service : Maintains familiarity with the institutional customer base in order to provide high quality customer service and to ensure optimum marketing potential; answers incoming phone calls and supports sales representative response to customers needs and inquiries.
Teamwork : This position is expected to work with other sales support personnel and support multiple institutional sales professionals in a fast paced work environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Understanding and knowledge of complex fixed income products and services offered by the firm
FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or 66 licenses
Excellent PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Bloomberg, NetX360, and Sales Force
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a time sensitive, competent and professional manner
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Finance or Economics and 1:2 years experience investment sales/operations or 4:5 years equivalent work related experience.
