Production COOK, dishwasher/prep and service staff

We are a small upcoming neighborhood, gourmet foods cafe/retail store. We specialize in upscale, take home cuisine, gourmet lunches, culinary workshops and demos, wine dinners, wine tastings and catering.

We are interviewing for the following positions:
•Production COOK - with a few years experience to perform day-to-day kitchen operations and provide excellent customer service to our growing customer base.
•Service Staff - candidate with service experience to work our cafe and catered events. This candidate should have some professional level of service experience and food prep knowledge in an casual dining environment.
•Dishwasher/ Sanitation / Kitchen Prep – maintains thorough cleanliness of operation per management and local health codes.

Professional appearance, demeanor and flexibility are A MUST for all positions.

Responsibilities for the cook will include planning, prepping, and executing recipes for both hot and cold menu items and daily specials. Able to handle any kitchen position, such as hot and cold production, as well as helping out with dish washing, daily cleaning etc.

Candidates must be detail-oriented, organized, cleans while working, maintains a clean operation, able to follow established inventory management policies and procedures as to portion sizes, cooking guidelines and presentation requirements for all food items. Be able to follow as well as create recipes for all menu items.

Must have outstanding customer service skills, ability to multi task and work well with all other staff.

Candidates with 2-3 years food service experience and solid track record required. Culinary certificate or degree desirable but, not required if you have the right experience. Ability to work early mornings some evenings/weekends and some holidays also required.

You will be working with one of the areas well known chef's.

These are mid-level positions with a salary range that is reflective of that.

Ideal candidate would be a 2 or 3+ year, strong prep, production or line cook looking for a new challenge with the opportunity for advancement.
