Facility Description:

Texas Health Surgery Center is a busy multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center located in far north Dallas. The Center is newly renovated with 5 operating rooms. Specialties include Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Pain Management, ENT and Ophthalmology

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Promotes clinical excellence through the utilization of specialized nursing knowledge, nursing process and discriminative judgment while giving direct or indirect care. Frances millerjenn assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position. Supports entire team through effective communication. Demonstrates service excellence, teamwork, dedication, accountability and integrity.


Circulate multiple specialties with emphasis on Orthopedics and General Surgery
Assesses, plans, evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patient s care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure.
Ensures provision of patient care daily in an organized and timely manner
Checks updated schedule each morning and prepare supplies and equipment
Reinforces and clarifies physician instructions and explanation of procedures to patient
Verifies surgical/procedure site with patient and according to surgical schedule and patient History and Physical.
Obtains and verifies operative/procedure consent
Communicates relevant information to physician, Facility Manager and appropriate staff.

  • Current RN license in state of Texas
  • Current ACLS and BLS; PALS preferred, not required
  • Current vaccination record
  • Previous OR circulating experience required. Prefer minimum 2 years multi-specialty. Ability to scrub basic general surgery procedures preferred, not required.
