Envision Physician Services has more than 1,000 exclusive contracts with client hospitals nationwide. We have an excellent opportunity for a Vice President of Project Management to join our team
The Vice President, Project Management Office for Envision Physician Services, formerly EmCare and Sheridan will lead the continued development of the EmCare Project Management System. This individual will be responsible for establishing and training the organization in project management tools, techniques, and standards. The VP, PMO will ensure that the PMO meets performance targets and that organizational projects adhere to best practices. Responsible for integrating the PMO functions with other enabling resource functions to drive organizational initiatives planning and implementation. The VP, PMO must be familiar with medical practice management processes and procedures, project management tools and techniques, and will work to develop standardized processes to improve operational efficiency.
Manage the PMO Office
:Establish the PMO role and operating model
:Establish the function, standards and performance methods
:Set standards for project management
:Create a project management learning center of excellence
:Monitor compliance with policies and standards
Project Direction:
:Assemble project team and project budget as needed
:Direct teams in setting up project objectives, milestone, and completion
:Manage project scope and appropriately alerts management to scoping issues
:Manage high:level deliverables and project roadmap across all projects
:Accountable for actively driving the project(s) to successful completion, including finding solutions to road blocks, facilitating communication, and identifying risks
:Establish and deploy project management tools and techniques across the organization
:Educate team members in project management principles
Team Leadership
:Hire, train, manage, and evaluate PMO staff
:Oversee the delegation of work to Project Managers and manage the workload
:Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team
Project Prioritization:
:Collaborate with business and executive leaders to translate strategic direction into a series of actionable, measurable projects
:Ensure projects are aligned with the corporate strategic direction and coordinated across the organization
:Develop organizational mechanism for project approval and prioritization
:Provide regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team and work with them to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges
:Support the project pipeline by managing resource availability, capacity, and skill sets

Education and Work Experience:
:Bachelors Degree required. MPH, MHA, or MBA preferred, with concentration in Health Management
:PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent
:5:7 Years of prior experience in physician practice management and / or project management
Knowledge and Skills:
:Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
:Proven ability to lead and coordinate effective interdisciplinary teams
:Ability to analyze and present ROI for projects and initiatives
:Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills
:Ability to balance and prioritize multiple goals and deadlines
:Excellent planning and organizational skills
:Self:motivated, innovative, and able to work independently
:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
:Familiar with commonly used project management tools
