LMS Administrator/Instructional Designer
Job Title: Lead LMS Administrator/Instructional Designer Reports To: VP of Operations
Location: Richardson, TX FLSA Status: Exempt
The LMS Administrator provides oversight and support for the Relias LMS at a
national level. Responsible for reviewing, uploading, and managing content; creating
and maintaining a catalog of courses and curricula; managing users; assigning
courses and curricula; and generating reports. Responsible for identifying, training,
and supporting LMS Supervisors and Administrators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the day to day operations of the LMS.
Manage all LMS content, including reviewing and uploading new courses. Work
with subject matter experts to review and update content.
Create and maintain an overall catalog of courses and curricula.
Manage all LMS users (including enrollments and deactivations) and roles
(Learners, Instructors, Supervisors, and Administrators).
Assign courses and curricula to users meeting specific criteria, and complete
manual assignments as requested.
Generate in:depth, accurate and detailed reports, including custom reports
Identify, train, and support Supervisors and Administrators, including regular
communication about best practices and new features.
Provide basic support to all users, including troubleshooting technical issues.
Participate in LMS Governance Committee and governance related activities.
Attain Level 1 Relias Administrator certification.
Define and document standards and best practices.
Provide recommendations for system and process improvements.
May serve as an Instructional Designer for national curriculum not allocated to a
specific functional area.
Non:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Advanced training and/or certification in LMS administration is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution of higher
education is preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the business of healthcare, technology,
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to use cloud:based educational and collaboration technologies.
Ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
Ability to successfully communicate to multiple levels of technical understanding.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers and vendors.
