Performs routine and emergency EKG¿s per doctor¿s request to provide a diagnostic tool for diagnosis and treatment.
:Must have completed a Medical Assistant course that includes EKG OR must have six
months of experience performing cardio graphic procedures.
:Prefer six months in an urban healthcare system.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience:
:May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Skills or Special Abilities:
:Must be able to identify the proper placement of electrodes for a 12:Lead EKG.
:Must be able to perform 12:Lead EKG.
:Must be able to utilize the MUSE (EKG Management System) for edit of EKGs prior to physician interpretation.
:Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and hospital staff.
:Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC operations and the ability to use work processing and spreadsheet software in a Windows environment.
:Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment in order to monitor its general working condition.
:Utilizes creativity and innovation in attaining desired outcomes.
:Uses a holistic approach and persists when solving problems.
:Works in a highly organized manner, capturing and attending to details as well as the bigger picture.
:Acts with a sense of urgency.
:Synthesizes information and shares with a larger group.
