Job Description
The Area Operations Manager is primarily responsible to provide operational support and management oversight to a growing portfolio of specialty dental offices (pediatric dentistry and orthodontics) located in the Dallas metro area. This is a boots on the ground position that requires a high level of involvement at each office during the pre and post:opening period of operation and during ongoing operation.

The scope of responsibilities is outlined below and includes the following:
1. Build and maintain high performance dental practices as part of an overall corporate strategy to meet business objectives.
2. Work with Senior Management Team to support the opening of new offices on time and on budget.
3. Work with Senior Management Team to ensure operating goals and KPIs are achieved on a
daily/weekly/monthly basis.
4. Oversee all aspects of daily operations of multiple practices.
5. Actively support the dentists, clinical staff, office staff in creating an exceptional patient and parent experience.
6. Actively support the dentists, clinical staff, office staff and marketing team (internal and external) to rapidly build new patient flow and dental case acceptance.
7. Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of clinic:based staff.
8. Create and implement effective practice management strategies and lead clinic personnel toward achievement of corporate objectives.
9. Work with Senior Management Team to develop and document and train all staff in standardized processes and protocols required to create an effective and efficient dental practice and group practice organization.
10. Educate, train and maintain a culture of safety and compliance with all staff on all safety and privacy protocols including OSHA and HIPAA.
11. Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
12. Work with company HR function and PEO in the management of personnel issues and provide discipline to employees where necessary.
13. Provide budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.
14. Provide supervision through site visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
15. Provide support to the development of monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
16. Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
17. Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Accounting, Compliance, Insurance Billings, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
18. Maintain competitive knowledge and adjust marketing and sales strategies.
Required Skills: 5+ years of similar experience in dental practice management, particularly multi:location. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Competencies in leadership, project practice management IT platforms, financial frameworks (P and L, budgets, etc.) Self starter, ability to excel autonomously, provide creative strategic solutions while continually focusing on delivering results.
Compensation: Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience including medical benefits, paid vacation and personal time. Near term potential for compensation to increase as practice portfolio size expands. Performance based bonus compensation potential.
