Responsible for project management leadership, analysis, and project implementation contributions for multiple, concurrent projects by using Parkland standard project management processes, methods, and tools.
:Must have a Bachelors degree in an Industrial/Systems Engineering, or a related healthcare field.
:Prefer a Masters degree.
:Must have seven years of Project Management experience, managing large, complex projects.
:Must have previous experience managing and successfully completing Lean and/or Lean Six Sigma projects.
:Prefer experience developing and improving business processes and productivity in a healthcare setting.
:Prefer experience with simulation packages.
Equivalent Education and Experience:
:May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure for Operational Excellence:
:Prefer a Green Belt Six Sigma Certification or Lean Certification.
:Prefer Black Belt Six Sigma Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
:Prefer Category I Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute.
Skills or Special Abilities:
:Must be able to develop, lead, and manage multiple projects, utilizing common project management methodologies.
:Must have capability to achieve pre:determined operational savings goals for Parkland each year.
:Must have the ability to assess, evaluate, and recommend solutions.
:Must have proven ability to effectively lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions.
:Must be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of Project Management processes and methodologies.
:Must have excellent oral and written skills.
:Must have good organizational skills and be able to demonstrate both analytical/statistical and managerial skills.
:Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
:Must have excellent presentation skills, and personal computer skills in MS Project, MS Word, Power Point, Visio, Access and Excel software.
:Must have superior analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
:Must be able to prepare and present project schedules, budgets, and reports.
:Must be able to build effective working relationships with a dynamic, professional team.
:Must be able to mentor other Project Managers and hospital staff members.
:Must be a self starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and on an independent basis.
