Manager of Environmental ServicesOversees the daily operations of environmental services. Includes but is not limited to scheduling, employee relations, hiring, ordering supplies and quality assurance. Performs other job duties as assigned.CORE VALUES:• Compassion/Respect, Investment, Innovation, Safety Awareness, Adaptable, Professionalism/AccountablePRINCIPLE JOB VALUES:• Building Teams, Communication, Stress Tolerance, Managing Conflict, Technical/Professional Skills and KnowledgePRINCIPLE JOB FUNCTIONS:• Responsible for ensuring adequate competent staffing for the department.• Responsible for hiring appropriate staff and managing staff with appropriate management techniques to result in employee engagement scores meeting goals.• Responsible for maintaining acceptable turnover with area of responsibility.• Responsible for orientation and training of new staff as well as continued education of existing staff in areas of responsibility.• Ensures productivity levels meet standards.• Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and operating within the budgetary guidelines.• Ensures the services provided by the department meet customer expectations.• EVS Floor care operations.• Responsible for overseeing ordering of linen, computes monthly reports for inventory, floor stock, daily time sheets and all other duties as requested or required.• Daily invoice payments to vendors and month end numbers to Accounting• Assist with Coordination and preparation, supervision and service of all food served including special functions menu selection, set up and service.• Maintains department inventory and financial documentation as requested or required. • Manages area in a prudent fiscal manner.• Develops policies and procedures for department• Assures compliance to all hospital and departmental safety and sanitation standards• Screens and secures vendors related to area of responsibility• Assures compliance to all Health and Human Services, State and JCAHO regulations on an on going basis• Approves time sheets and manages schedules for areas of responsibility • Manifests problem-solving abilities and decisive leadership• Performs managerial human resources functions• Adheres to hospital polices and procedures• Conduct reinforces the Company’s values and promote the Code of Conduct• Meet his or her leadership obligations under the Ethics and Compliance Program• Performs other duties as requested or required
