Conduct research and handle special projects as assigned by Leadership to support the goals and objectives of MX Planning initiatives. Organize Materials for meetings, presentations or reports. Assist with special projects and events as required. Aircraft MX Routing : Contacting Flight Dispatch group for special aircraft routing in support of MX asks, coordination with on:site MX supervisors for special MX tasks and coordination with MX Planning group related to miss:planned MX tasks or irregular activities. Production Planning: Provides MX Planners with technical information, by evaluating new and existing tasks. Coordinating multiple departments, check spans are established by evaluating work scope content, estimation of deferred MX items and man:hour computations. Long Range MX Planning: Fleet MX Control, Modification Control, Aircraft Component Control and Non Routine Defect Control and provides Long Term Projections of MX activities using several tools and data analysis. Base MX Planning: Builds work packages for overnight aircraft MX visits that need a hangar, heavier semiannual visits and packages for heavy MX visits which occur about every two years. Planners use forecasting and scheduling tools to determine which tasks fit most appropriately into which check. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. EDUCATION:Progress towards degree, major/minor in Supply Chain Management, Operational Analysis, Business Intelligence, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or Business related field required.Minimum junior level.To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA. SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).Strong database management skills preferred (Excel, Access, or similar).Basic understanding of root cause, risk analysis, and/or trend analysis.Experience with Java, C, C++, and SQL preferred.Knowledge or experience in aircraft operations or maintenance operations preferred.Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communications skills.Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments.Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines.Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.Quick learner, self:motivated, team oriented, with a sense of humor.
