The Call Center Associate is responsible for answering incoming calls from patients, family members and other external parties. Call Center Associates will warm transfer calls to specialists, ensure they are being assisted, answer questions, and provide information on behalf of the institution. ABOUT METROCARE:Metrocare is the largest provider of mental health services in Dallas County, serving more than 52,000 adults and children annually. For more than forty:nine (49) years, Metrocare has provided an array of services available to people with mental and developmental disabilities. In addition to behavioral health services, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, accessible pharmacies, housing and supportive social services. Through the Altshuler Center for Education and Research and our software initiative, XenatiX, we are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.Provides the highest quality support to customers.Operates telephone console to relay incoming calls.Answers inbound calls by the third ring in a professional and polite manner. Checks in with customers ensure issues are resolved to customerA?s satisfaction before ending the call.Maintains working knowledge of Metrocare Services to be able to answer frequently asked questions and troubleshoot municates with individuals served and as well other staff members.Maintains confidentiality of patient information.Performs other duties as PETENCIES: The competencies listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Highly developed customer service principles and practices.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing required.Excellent data entry, numeric, typing, and computer navigational skills.Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple and competing priorities in a changing environment.Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.Ability to quickly assess a request and respond appropriately.Knowledge of call center telephone system and technology.Ability to function in a fluid environment and respond appropriately to changing priorities.Ability to respond to and de:escalate crisis situations.Demonstrate high ethical standards in all professional relationships within internal and external customers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma; some college preferred2 to 3 years of receptionist experience. Healthcare receptionist experience preferredExperience working in a healthcare or mental health environment preferredBilingual Spanish preferredREASONING ABILITY:Ability common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two:step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no PUTER SKILLS: Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize Internet for resources.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by CenterA?s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
