Summary of Responsibilities: As a Scrum Master, you are a member of the project team and could support multiple teams. You will be the leadership proxy whose primary objective is to mentor the team to follow the rules of Agile Delivery within the Scaled Agile Framework, help team focus on objective, facilitate team level meetings, and eliminate team impediments so the team can focus on the team objectives. As continuous improvement is one of the foundations of the LEAN principles that SAFe embraces, you should be constantly identifying areas of inefficient processes, counterproductive practices and wasteful activities. Once identified you should be continually helping the team improve upon best practices and working with management to improve the insufficient processes and procedures. In addition, to the Scrum Master duties, the person should also be an active contributing member of the team by helping to support the design, build and implementation of high quality solutions to meet the business objective and vision. This contribution can come in many forms, based on the skillset and experience (ex. Developer vs. BSA vs. Project Manager). Essential Functions: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Agile Team Members, Product Managers, Product Owners and Leadership, including Product Delivery Leaders and Value Stream Leaders to create transparency Possess and exhibit knowledge of principles of Scale Agile Framework (SAFe), which include Agile Project Management, Lean Thinking and Servant Leadership Implement and efficiently utilize SAFe principles, which includePromoting and reinforcing the team rules Encouraging and motivating team to focus on iteration goals Improving the teams understanding and adoption of Agile processes Being proactive in Identifying and addressing issues and impediments within the teams and escalating as necessary to management Leading and guiding effort on relentless improvement to build a high performing team Guiding the team in establishing normalized estimating Helping the team succeed in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity through coaching and mentorship Attend and lead Scrum of Scrum sessions Lead daily stand up meetings Work in partnership other Scrum Teams, Agile Release Trains and Value Streams as needed for planning and release management May be required to perform traditional Project Management activities such as status reports and project plans as required by management Other Functions Special projects as requested Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience required Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in auto finance or similar financial services Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Scrum Master or project management role within software development life cycle Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in requirements definition and analysis Minimum three (3) years of experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment Experienced in Lean-Agile principles. Scale Agile Framework training is desired Demonstrated confidence as a facilitator for various team meetings and demos Proven critical thinking and problem solving ability Must have solid understanding of business and technical terminology Must have experience in communicating subject matter to various audiences Strong verbal communication skills Excellent grammar and business writing skills Ability to affect change in a dynamic, rapidly fluctuating business and technical environment Some travel for short periods may be required Ability to maintain confidentiality Working Conditions: Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
