Were looking for someone with a data governance/security background, working with the technologies and techniques specifically in Hadoop platform (Cloudera experience is preferred) to keep our data secure. Must understand the authentication principals used in Kerberos and Sentry. Experience in data governance tools like Protegrity will be a plus. Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be to manage the security policies allowing applications the access they need to internal and external resources. Additionally it will require: Responsible for playing a key role in the development and implementation of the long-term access management data governance strategy for Cloudera Hadoop platform; analyzing issues in the governance of data, including problem solving and resolution to those issues; defines the definition and prioritization of data governance projects and tasks Implement and maintains security technologies and solutions that protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability for Information Systems and data. Develop procedures and parameters for the use of the security systems that facilitate access to and the protection of company confidential data. Design security solutions for Cloudera Hadoop platform using tools like Protegrity and must understand the integration of data governance tools with authentication principals of Kerberos and Sentry. Perform risk analyses and management to balance the costs of protection and the consequences of loss for various resources. Recommend access architecture guidelines for electronic use of data in concert with security policies and standards. Recommend security safeguards that are needed as part of projects as new systems are developed. Evaluate the integrity of access management data, including role descriptions, and ownership of information security resources. Work with internal users to update the data and provide feedback Communicate with a large population of users, track correspondence and associated deadlines to ensure timely responses and complete requests from external departments. Perform analysis, design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of systems that protect and ensure the safety of enterprise information assets. Provide oversight, advisory and consultative services to users, application teams and departments around access management. Participate on project teams helping new applications design access, explain and provide training/awareness on access management processes and tools, etc. Qualifications Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Information Security operations, 2+ years of experience in Hadoop Data Security. Working knowledge in Hadoop Data Security principals used in Kerberos and Sentry authentications. Experience in data governance tools like Protegrity will be a plus. Working knowledge of access and identity management concepts and processes, including the concept of roles and individual access, approvals, access certification reviews, etc is a must. A self-starter with good communication skills that can interact with individuals at all levels of the company. Works independently with very limited supervision with ability to follow through on project completion, handle multiple priorities, provide accurate and timely status updates, and knowledge of when to escalate appropriately.
