Synopsis: A surrealist horror film about childhood fears and trauma. The film follows Emily, a curious and compassionate young girl, who tries to befriend her new neighbor, Jack, a reserved boy with a dark past. As Emily grows closer to Jack, she begins to unearth something evil within him.

Character Breakdowns:

Emily:
– Age: 8-12
– A compassionate and curious young girl. She seeks inclusion and friendship and attempts to befriend her new neighbor Jack.

Jack:
– Age: 8-12
– A shy and troubled young boy who recently moved to a new neighborhood with his grandmother. He is mostly isolated from kids his own age.

Ruth:
– Age 55+
– Jack’s overbearing, overzealous, religious grandmother. She has a twisted sense of reality and often frightens others who do not share her same beliefs.

Emily’s Father
– Age 30-40
– Stern but has trouble asserting himself.

Emily’s Mother
– Age 30-40
– Never afraid to speak her mind or confront issues head on. Strong-willed and cares deeply for her daughter and the well-being of her family.

Abigail
– Age 8-12
– Emily’s best friend. She is playful, but can often be mean to others. She loves to tease and poke fun at people that she fails to understand.

Abigail’s Father
– Age 30-40
– Non-speaking role. Goes with Emily’s father to look for the girls when they don’t come home in time.
