Payroll and Benefits Specialist- Richardson, TXHalff has an immediate opening for an experienced payroll and benefits administrator. The primary responsibility for the position is payroll processing. Ideal candidates will have experience processing, resolving and issuing multi-state payroll and experience with various payroll systems. Experience with Paycor is preferred. This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll and accompanying reports for hourly and salaried employees. Halff has over 700 employees located in 4 states (Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana). The secondary responsibility is to provide support to the benefits team. Experience managing employee benefits is also required. Required: Bachelors of Science in Accounting FPC, CPP, SHRM CP or HRCI PHR Certification Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll Minimum 3 years of experience administering employee benefits Experience utilizing integrated payroll and HRIS system Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface respectfully and quickly with employee at all levels Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion regarding employee pay rates and other employee information Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Preferred: Experience working with Paycor DelTek Vision experience is a plus Payroll Responsibilities: Payroll processing for approximately 700 employees: Generating bi-weekly check runs, manual checks and end of year payrolls (bonuses), if applicable. Upload bi-weekly payroll entries to the general ledger. Maintain electronic employee records, employee receivable balances and ensure appropriate payroll deductions are taken for employee benefits, taxes, etc. Enter all payroll-related modifications including wage and tax adjustments, benefit and 401(k) deductions, garnishments, and levies. Prepare customized payroll reports for insurance, worker comp, ESOP, 401K audits, and other ad-hoc reporting. Sensitive to payroll deadlines and ensure timely payroll submission every cycle.
